When you suffer with your stomach, this is your body’s way of telling you there is something wrong. This is where your anxiety starts. When your anxiety is high it puts pressure around the muscle in the stomach causing it to swell or tighten up, which in turn puts pressure on the outside walls of the stomach. With some people it makes the stomach smaller where they lose their appetite or larger where their appetite increases. Then when you eat the food does not digest fully. This restricts the flow of blood in the stomach, causing you to either feel full or have an empty feeling which increases the symptoms. In time this causes the blood not to fully travel through the stomach, so when the food hits the stomach it takes longer for it to digest and over time causes ulcers, reflux problems, extreme tiredness. These are only a few examples it all depends on the sensitivity of the person.
